Among the high mountains in a narrow valley, on the banks of the fast-flowing Sukil mountain river, there is the Tysiv picturesque village. This ancient settlement is known in history as one of the settlements of the knightly noble family of Sas, who were invited by King Danylo to protect the boarders and road of the Galician state. The church of the entry into the Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary was built in 1783. It was built of coniferous wooden beams on oak groundwork. The foundations were made of river stones.  The building is cruciform in plan; there are five domes and a square four-log nave. The temple is 18 meters long and 13.4 meters wide. The central part develops into an octagon which is completed with a dome. The three-tiered iconostasis is made in the style of wooden baroque, it is carved and gilded. Originally it was covered with shingles, planked with boards. In 1930 during the reconstruction the building roofs were covered with tin.

In 1989 the church was repaired and the iconostasis was completely repainted.

In 1874-1875 Amvrosii Krushelnytskyi, the famous singer Solomiia Krushelnytska’s father served in the temple. In 2002 on the 50th anniversary of her death, a bust of an opera diva was erected near the shrine.

In order to preserve the monument, in 2002 it was literally moved in north-east direction to an artificial river stone and rubble bank at a distance of 54 meters. The shrine hasn’t undergone any deformation.

Nowadays it is a functioning church that belongs to the Orthodox church of Ukraine community. It is an architectural monument of local significance.
