Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary is a wooden church in Tysmenytsia town (32, Monastyrska Street) Ivano-Frankivsk region, Ukraine, an architectural monument of national importance, dating back to the 18th century.
The church dates back to the 18th century (according to different sources 1715, 1732 and 1736). It was built on the territory on the monastery, at the expenses of Mrs. Hrabina Elena Velyhurska when hegumen Ilia Yurots was the abbot of the monastery. After the monastery was liquidated in 1744, the temple became the city church. It is located north of the city center on the left bank of the Vorona River.
The temple is cruciform, 22 meters long and 17 meters wide. It is built of oak beams. The upper parts of the side logs are pentagonal. The church narthex and nave are rectangular. Two wide sacristies are attached to the altar. Pear-shaped tops are built over the pentagonal roof of the side logs, and the octagonal top of the nave is covered with a pear-shaped hip roof covered with tin. The temple has wide long terrace based on the release of logs. The church walls are upholstered with rafters. Rectangular windows are located around the temple perimeter. The paintings of the 19th century and a five-row iconostasis with carving and paintings in the Baroque-Renaissance style have been preserved in the interior.
The nearby bell tower has been recognized as an architectural monument of national importance by №1157. The rectangular bell tower is three-tiered. The lower tier has a different structure (the eastern part is of the log house, the western is a frame type) and an arched gate. The upper tiers are frames, the third of which if formed in the shape of an arcade-gallery and covered with a hip roof. The bell tower dimensions are 4 by 4.5 m.
