The church was built in 1700 at the expense of the community and with the assistance of the Austrian emperor. The building is wooden, cross-shaped, five-domed, built in the boykos style.
The exterior and interior of the church were partially changed after the renovation works. Іn particular the shingled roof was replaced with a metal one made of galvanized metal plate. The last renovation of the building took place in 1996. The church has three floors iconostasis with three-dimensional carvings.
At the north side of the church there is a two-tiered bell tower, built in 1895-1897.
