he Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker is one of the oldest monuments of Ukraine’s church construction of the 16th century. The temple was originally built of 12-meter beams on a dry stone foundation in 1470. In the 17th and 18th centuries, the Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker underwent some changes: the tower was rebuilt, and a gallery and a porch were added. According to local legend, the church was moved to its current location – a hill in the center of the village – 330 years later, in 1800. Prior to that, it served as the main church of the monastery which was once located at the site of Odariv. The interior of the church is rather simple and neat. Here, one can see a preserved Baroque-style wall mural of the 18th century and a somewhat ceremonial carved iconostasis, which was restored in 1737.
Architectural monument of national importance.
